BI Developer -- Infor M3 (Addison IL)

Responsible for translating functional business needs to technical specifications and will design, develop and maintain Microsoft Power BI reports Microsft cloud based BI architectures.  Develops and will execute Microsoft SQL Server database and Azure SQL queries to conduct analysis and debugging.  Conducts unit testing and troubleshooting.  Pro-actively delivers 2nd/3rd level BI support to BI developers and end users.  Contributes to national and international projects and rollouts and will remain up-to-date with current and future BI technologies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or IT related course
  • Must have Infor M3 experience. SAP experience a huge plus. 
  • 3+ years proven experience in Power BI report development & Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft BI Cloud Technologies (Fabric, Databricks,  Azure Synapse)
  • Knowledge of on-premise Microsoft stack: SQL Server ETL techniques, SSIS, SSAS Tabular and Multi-Dimensional Cubes models
  • In-depth understanding of modern Microsoft Cloud BI Technologies and concepts, e.g. Azure/Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Microsoft Fabric, Data Lakes, Lakehouse Architecture, Python/PySpark
  • Ability to write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures and DAX queries
  • Experience with source control systems (DevOps, TFS, GIT etc.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence, data warehouses, data modeling, data lakes and ETL concepts
  • SAP HANA, ECC, SLT, BODS and BW knowledge is beneficial 
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills
  • Ability to take ownership of processes and deliver work packages successfully
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
