As the National Sales Director, Government Affairs, you will be responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy for key VISN and National government/VA relationships along with uncovering opportunities within the Federal Government market in order to meet/exceed strategic, operational, and financial goals set by the organization.
At Arjo, we define Government Affairs as the healthcare setting empowered by the Federal Government, which includes segments such as: Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Department of Defense, United States Department of Health and Human Services & Indian Health Services.
The selected Sales Leader will contribute to and support the overall company strategy for assigned markets & will be responsible for creating & executing a complimentary sales strategy for the government segment
This role will closely partner with Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors in Arjo’s Acute segment to implement our strategy and deliver on assigned revenue targets. In addition, this position will manage system-level opportunities (e.g. VISN, MMESO, etc.) and will develop relationships with key points of contact.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced education (Bachelor or Master’s degree) in Business or related field required.
- Previous experience in a National Accounts or Corporate Accounts sales role with proven track record of meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar annual quotas.
- Experience selling medical device equipment in the Government (VA and DoD) channel strongly preferred.
- Seven(7) to ten (10) years of successful sales experience in the medical device industry or related business experience.
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written, presentation.
- Miller Heiman Strategic Selling and/or other related sales certifications preferred.
- Understanding of industry trends and competitive strategies in order to identify opportunities.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other datatbase/ERP/CRM concepts.
- 60-80% travel requirement based on business need.
