The impact you will have
As a Sales Representative, you will actively anticipate and exceed the needs of your customers
and clients by offering them the best solutions, impacting both health and financial outcomes. By
providing recommendations and education around Arjo’s portfolio of solutions, you will contribute
to supporting increased quality of life for residents, patients and caregivers.
As the Sales Representative you will be responsible for:
You will provide sales expertise in dealing with internal and external customers and stakeholders,
with the ability to overcome company challenge and client scrutiny to help build the business
case to achieve the best outcome for both the customer and Arjo.
•A Resilient seller, you will be driven, with the enthusiasm and hunger for success, along with the
determination to consistently meet challenging targets and demands from both internal and external customers.
•An effective business planner, you will identify future opportunities for yourself and the team to
support Arjo growth plans. You will effectively use CRM systems to plan and follow up your business leads.
•An effective negotiator you will adapt styles and approaches to enable clients to relate to
you, and allow you the opportunity to provide the most appropriate and tailored service. You will show the
customer that cost effectiveness does not mean the lowest price by promoting the “value added” services
which Arjo offers
•Willing to embrace change, patience with the ability to listen will allow you to understand fully the client’s requirements,
whilst enabling you to adapt to change. •Decisive and confident you will prove yourself as a credible company representative.
Using your understanding of the corporate and commercial world alongside developing your specialist clinical product
knowledge, you will have the ability to get straight to the point to enable you get the maximum benefit out of the time spent with the customer.
•Fiercely independent, you will be able to perform tasks and duties without daily supervision; you will have the ability to
work at the customers pace, building credible, long term relationships that enable our customer accounts to grow in line with
our growth strategies, while delivering results that correlate to the territory targets.
•An effective customer relationship manager you will have an unrelenting desire to satisfy the customer, by taking a “partnership”
approach to selling, by listening to and understanding Arjo and the customer’s commercial constraints, whilst ensuring that Arjo
provide the products and services the customer needs, whilst creating effective options and innovative solutions to resolve and
prevent customer issues.
•Using your robust relationship management expertise, and effective use of company CRM systems, you will maintain the customer
relationship after the sale, whilst ensuring that the customer receives an efficient after sales service from the group.
•You will use your research and insight gained into customer issues and opportunities as the basis for effective account and customer
planning, and to drive effective decision making and sales decisions.
•Through collaborative selling techniques you will be an effective Solution Designer. You will have the confidence and initiative to negotiate
“Win / Win” solutions, you will have the commercial ability to “close the sale” and design effective and innovative solutions within commercial constraints.
You will understand the importance of negotiating deals that satisfy both the customer and Arjo in the knowledge that the overall solution offered to
the customer is more important than any individual product.
The skills you will need
•Computer literacy; familiarity with information technology concepts, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
•Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and exercises discretion in all business dealings.
•Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical terminology, provincial funding knowledge by sector, and third party payer claims preferably in the Health Care market.
•Must be willing to travel to attend scheduled business and corporate functions as required.
•Must have a valid driver’s license.
•Strong Commercial and Financial understanding.
•Self- Sufficient, enthusiastic, optimistic with a “Can Do” attitude and resilient.
•Questioning and challenging, with the ability to be self-critical to learn from missed opportunities.
•Ambitious with the willingness to “raise the bar” to enhance their own and the wider teams effectiveness
•Patient and Tenacious with an eye for detail through a long sales “life-cycle.”
•Exceptional Communicator and Negotiator.
•Innovative Solution Designer with a positive work ethic. Relevant Experience and Education:
•Post-Secondary Education degree – BA or Diploma •Although not essential, you are likely to have 5 years’
experience of managing sales in a B2B environment, preferably in a regulated industry, or an industry where there is involvement in large tender and bid processes.
•Background in managing long sales “Life-cycle” processes.
•Background in “Consultative” selling, ideally in a group environment, where there has been a requirement to work
collaboratively across different functions and areas of expertise.
•Background of Customer relationship management.
•Basic Commercial understanding with the ability to understand and analyze key financial information
•Experience of CRM systems and other sources to analyze data to understand customer needs
•Experience in the Medical Device Industry or Healthcare Sales is a strong asset.
•Experience in delivering solutions based on Clinical Outcomes or delivery of Clinical Services
