The Clinical Product Specialist is responsible for providing clinical and product support while driving commercial growth across the Western Cape region. The incumbent will manage and develop the clinical product portfolio through strategic customer engagement, clinical education, product training, data-driven business planning, and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
This role serves in supporting healthcare professionals across acute care facilities including private hospital groups, independent healthcare facilities, and public sector institutions, but not limited to these.
The Clinical Product Specialist will identify growth opportunities, drive product adoption, support tender and sales activities, and ensure customers achieve optimal clinical outcomes through the effective utilization of the company's products and solutions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills to achieve sustainable business growth while delivering exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical and Product support based upon product demonstrations and in-service training to healthcare professionals and end users.

Supporting product evaluations, trials, implementations, and conversions within healthcare facilities.

Responding to customer enquiries and provide timely clinical and product support.

Maintain a thorough understanding of clinical practice trends, customer needs, and competitor activity within the territory.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, nursing staff, procurement teams and key opinion leaders.

Sales reporting on activities, planners, rolling forecasts, market intelligence and commercial growth
Qualifications & Experience

Relevant Clinical qualification in nursing or medical sciences

2+ years of experience as a product specialist or clinical product specialist

A confident individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide collaboration of stakeholders within business units

Demonstrated experience supporting healthcare professionals within both public and private hospital or clinical environments.

Proven ability to achieve commercial objectives and support sales growth.

Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting sales and business data.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
