The Rental and Operations Assistant to work within and support the Rental and Operation structure. 

 

As the Rental and Operations Assistant you will be responsible for:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Rental Duties:

  • Deliver, install, and collect medical equipment (e.g., pumps and mattresses) professionally and within SLA timeframes.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and ensure equipment is fully operational for end users.
  • Maintain vehicle condition and stock levels to support efficient service.
  • Uphold infection control standards during handling and cleaning of equipment.
  • Assist with equipment decontamination and laundry processes.
  • Build positive relationships with healthcare clients and provide after-hours support when required.
  • Conduct stock counts, manage rental asset movements, and report safety concerns or market trends.

Operations Duties:

  • Support warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock audits.
  • Deliver and collect demo units and capital rental equipment.
  • Complete all relevant documentation for deliveries, collections, and inventory movements.
  • Ensure warehouse and workspaces are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Safely transport goods and/or medical devices to clients and hospitals on time.
  • Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
  • Complete delivery notes, log sheets, and basic paperwork accurately.
  • Assist with warehouse operations including picking, packing, and preparing stock for dispatch.
  • Verify product details and perform serial number confirmation before loading and after delivery.
  • Ensure correct loading and offloading of stock (some products weigh between 100–150 kg).
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks before and after trips (oil, water, tires, and lights).
  • Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or delays immediately.
  • Maintain professional communication clients,

Administrative Duties: 

  • Complete all relevant documentation for deliveries, collections, and inventory movements.
  • Maintain accurate records of rental and capital equipment transactions.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and updating internal systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients regarding service schedules and equipment status.
  • Support reporting and compliance requirements as directed by management.

 

Requirements

 

  • Valid driver’s license and experience in driving
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays and Be available for 24 Hour call on a rostered basis or as instructed if required
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain role.
  • Proficiency in using inventory/asset software tool.
  • Certification in forklift or other material-handling equipment operation.
