IT Administrator
Position: IT Administrator
Location: Cardiff
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
The impact you will have
Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a difference? Arjo is looking for a dedicated IT Administrator to join our dynamic team.
You will be responsible for providing 1st Line IT support for the Arjo UKI users of systems and services, manage the IT equipment through their lifecycle, as well as being involved in IT tasks and projects.
- Responsible for 1st line management of all customer support requests
- Maintain a professional and courteous level of interaction with all customers and contacts
- Utilise Remedy support desk application to manage service requests through ticket lifecycle
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve hardware and software incidents, requests and problems
- Escalate difficult-to-resolve tickets to a higher level support group or technician
- Offer advice and guidance to customers and IT colleagues where necessary and appropriate
- Adhere to Arjo defined ITSM processes and Arjo policies and procedures
- Work to agreed KPIs for incidents, requests and problems
- Configure, install and support hardware and software as required
- Manage purchase ordering, decommissioning, and disposal of IT equipment as required
- Maintain full and accurate records within user and system repositories
- Provide support to global colleagues as and when required
- Undertake other tasks as may be required
- Undertake project work as may be required
The skills you will need
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in the IT industry.
- Past experience using helpdesk applications
- Possess good knowledge of IT policies, standards, procedures and best practices (e.g. ITIL)
- Methodical, accurate, organised person with high attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise work
- Friendly, courteous, helpful towards customers and supportive of colleagues
- Ability to communicate with Company personnel at all levels
- Ability to learn and support new technologies as might be introduced into the Arjo environment
