Regional Sales Director, medical device (Great Lakes region)

This Regional Sales Director will lead a team of Sales Reps that sell Arjo’s broad product line directly to hospitals. The 7 Sales Reps that you will lead are located in major metro areas in Great Lakes states (MI/OH/IN/IL/WI). Periodic travel to these locations will be required. In addition to day-to-day Sales Management, this Sales leader will contribute to development of the regional IDN/GPO strategy and contract agreements, customer account modeling and analysis, customer business reviews, and management of pricing strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop regional business plan to attain sales revenue goals.

  • Develop the Great Lakes Region Sales Team to improve performance, efficiency, and employee happiness.

  • Develop and continuously improve relationships with key existing and new customers.

  • Manage staffing levels to anticipate business expansion, market conditions, and staffing changes.

  • Successfully implement administrative procedures, company policies, and maintenance of company assets.

  • Spend at least 50% of time in the field: mentoring, developing, and holding accountable Sales Reps and staff to established proficiencies and expectations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field required.

  • Minimum five (5) years of successful and documented sales experience in the medical device industry, selling medical devices and consulting solutions to C-level personnel.

  • Sales Leadership experience, with detailed record of achievement.

  • Miller Heiman Strategic Selling and/or other related sales certifications preferred.

  • Strong business instincts with the ability to define and effectively communicate the Arjo sales model.

  • Prior success formulating sales strategies and tactical execution.

  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high volume sales environment.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office(Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other databases/ERPs.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com.
