Position: Installations Engineer
Location: Field based

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday-9.00am-17.00pm with a 30 minute lunch,

Working as part of the Installation division based in the Republic of Ireland, you will be responsible for the installation of Medical Devices within acute hospitals, long term nursing units as well as private customer homes and active building sites. This role is based in Dublin however you will be expected to travel nationwide however you will not be alone as you will be joining a team of experienced engineers. Most days you can start your day from home and travel to site however this role will require overnight stays this will be at the cost of Arjo.
You will be responsible for the management of your own stock, this can either be delivered to your home or you can arrange to collect it at various designated collection points. The majority of equipment you will be working with are overhead hoists, baths and bed pan washers. All IT equipment such as IPAD and IPhone will be provided for as well as a company van which can also be used for private use if necessary. As you will be using this van to get to and from work sites, you must find an appropriate place to park while at home.
A valid driver’s licence is essential and you will need to supply documents for Garda Vetting as you will be working in areas with vulnerable people. You need to work independently and be able to priorities your individual work load which will be sent directly to your personal Ipad. It is essential that you have a methodical and practical approach so that all work orders are completed in a timely manner that there is limited disruption to patients or hospital staff.
Full training will be provided for all equipment we service and maintain. Enthusiasm, positivity and communication skills are essential to help build strong relationships with Arjo customers.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes;
- Electrically or mechanically qualified to a minimum of City & Guilds level 2/3 with experience in an engineering discipline
- This role requires previous technical experience in a similar environment
- Knowledge of building and construction materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer focused
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to motivate others
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Work at heights (PASMA & IPAF)
- Experience in use of power tools and following installation manuals
- Requirement to travel & overnight stays in various locations with ROI
- Must hold a full driving licence
- A Garda Vetting check will be carried out (at the cost of Arjo)
