Position: Installations Project Manager

Location: Field based – ROI

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

 

The impact you will have

Reporting to the Service and Rentals Manager, you will be fully responsible for the installation process of all fixed goods, to fully manage resources to ensure installation needs are met for both our internal and external customers and associated costs are kept under control. You will take ownership of fixed good project when order is received and be involved in supporting the Sales Department during pre-order, tenders, meetings etc

 

Duties

 

  • Management of all installation crews for 26 counties.
  • Responsible for all Health & Safety for installations and production of site specific method statements.
  • Responsibility for installation schedule and ensuring completion of scheduled work on time and within budget.
  • Perform accident & incident investigations to closure when required in installations.
  • Complete site survey readiness checks to ensure all customer sites are prepared as per Arjo site attendances in accordance with agreed schedule.
  • Produce accurate scheduling forecasting
  • Work closely with Sales Dept in preparation for upcoming orders/installations.
  • To assist in tender submissions/evaluations for fixed goods products.
  • Attend pre-start meetings with clients when requested.
  • Responsible for all documentation required by customers for fixed goods installation
  • Ensure stock levels of all installations goods and consumables are kept at correct min/max levels.
  • Provide support to Sales Dept. with equipment & site layout, fixing details, fixing methodology etc.
  • Inform and assist in the development and implementation of improved ways of working, new processes and policies.
  • Assist installation team when required.
  • Responsible for fixed goods installation team budgets, P&L and maximizing Gross Profit.
  • Manage tool fleet for all installation engineers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, processes and procedures for fixed good installations.
  • Monitor performance; provide coaching and mentoring where appropriate.
  • Mentor & coach Arjo Installation apprentices to prepare them for working in the industry and providing support during college term
  • Complete snagging of all installations to minimise return warranty call outs.
  • Provide comprehensive handover post installation to Service Dept to maintain service contract.
  • Responsible for cost of labour efficiencies ensuring all fixed goods projects are brought in on time and within budget
  • Full responsibility for fixed goods installation KPI’s


Communication

  •  
  • Close and regular communication with all internal and external contacts to ensure Project success and implementation
  • Attend site meetings where possible and customer meetings where required
  • Obtain and ensure all relevant parties agree to information and details of confirmed objectives and outcomes of the Installation Project


Performance Tracking/KPIs

  •  
  • Analysis of Installation Projects in order to identify process improvements
  • Implement process improvements identified
  • Installation [Project reporting in order to identify cost efficiencies, non-value added tasks, Project success and areas where improvements can be implemented to ensure improved Project Installations for customers and all stakeholders
  • Compiling and submitting Project status reports to customers and other stakeholders

 

 

The skills you will need

 

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate management skills, leadership skills, team-building skills, flexibility and the ability to motivate others
  • Strong organisational, analytical, problem solving and administrative skills
  • Qualifications: City and Guild/NTEC/ONC or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering – Desirable.
  • Work Experience: Mechanical/electrical engineering experience – Essential.
  • Be conversant with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007, the Company’s Integrated Management System - Desirable.
  • Willing to undertake training as required to obtain and develop skills and knowledge base.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Package and resource scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills both over the telephone and face to face. Demonstrating a high level of customer service, professionalism and compassion for others at all times. Confidently handling difficult conversations with customers.
  • Able to problem solve and seek solutions logically in challenging situations using initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Clear and confident training and presentation skills with the ability to respond effectively to the needs of an audience and foster an open and collaborative training environment
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of customer service, professionalism and compassion for others at all times
  • Demonstrate a motivated and passionate approach to work, taking ownership for tasks. Planning and Organising to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of patients during visits.
  • Actively participate and co-operate with other members of staff to improve and develop a high standard of customer service.
