Position: Director Project Execution and Deputy Head of R&D, Supply Chain and R&D
Location: Malmö, Sweden
Job type: Full time, permanent

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Project Execution to lead and oversee our project management team and act as deputy to the Vice-President R&D.

 

 

The impact and responsibilities you will have as a Director Project Execution in R&D;

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing and executing complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. As the Director of Project Execution, you will be responsible for driving project success, fostering collaboration, and implementing best practices in project management. You are self-motivated with ‘can-do’ attitude and high levels of energy, being a good listener and strong communicator - but most importantly is to have the discipline and capability securing that projects are executed towards set up goals and KPI.

 

Typical job tasks;

  • Lead the R&D Project Managers to deliver product development projects on time according to set scope and within budget.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of new product development projects from pre-study to launch.
  • Ensure continuous and efficient project communication / stakeholder management creating program communication clarity.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates to senior management.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
  • Guiding and motivating teams to achieve project goals
  • Ensuring project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications
  • Developing and managing project budgets, ensuring financial control.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in project management practices.

 

 

The skills you will need;

  • Master of Science degree in Engineering or similar level of education
  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Director of Project Execution.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluent in english.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience from medical device product development or other regulated industry is a plus

  • Analytical with pragmatic and proactive approach, driven by results
  • Strong communicator and strong presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with ‘can-do’ attitude and high levels of drive, energy and motivation
  • Curious and good listener, seeking continuous performance development
