As a Senior Product Engineer (Patient Handling), you will be responsible for:
- Leading the modification and improvement of Arjo products and solutions in line with implementation project goals, ensuring technical excellence and long‑term product reliability,
- Driving the creation and validation of prototypes, planning test approaches, analyzing results, and recommending improvements based on expert engineering judgment,
- Preparing high‑quality technical documentation, including detailed technical drawings and specifications that serve as a reference point for cross‑functional teams,
- Owning and resolving complex product‑related quality issues, performing root‑cause analysis, and implementing robust corrective actions,
- Preparing and authorizing engineering changes, ensuring seamless integration into production environments,
- Actively contributing to and sometimes leading projects focused on product optimization, manufacturing improvements, and cost‑reduction initiatives,
- Working daily with SolidWorks (2D and 3D), PDM, and Advantum, and supporting junior engineers in best practices within these systems,
- Acting as a technical advisor to cross‑functional teams (production, quality, supply chain), offering senior‑level expertise and engineering guidance,
- Ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements, contributing to audits and technical reviews.
Skills and experience you will need in this role:
- A degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline),
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to the full product lifecycle,
- Strong knowledge of mechanics and materials engineering,
- Advanced ability to create technical documentation and design in a 3D environment (SolidWorks preferred), with proven ability to model complex assemblies,
- Fluency in English and Polish, both spoken and written (English B2+),
- Proactive approach with a high level of ownership, capable of independently driving tasks and making sound technical decisions,
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills; ability to build effective relationships across engineering, operations, and quality teams,
- Mentorship mindset—willingness to share knowledge and support less experienced engineers,
- Analytical thinking, problem‑solving orientation, and the ability to challenge the status quo with data‑driven insights,
- A structured, organized working style, with the ability to manage multiple technical tasks simultaneously.
