Responsabilities:

Lead the software development and complete integration of subsystems for new patient lifts and mobility aids according to the Product Development Process (PDP) and regulatory requirements;

Plan the software development stages and support the CP Gestion in the overall planning of the design stages;

Supervise the technical work of colleagues on projects for which he/she is responsible;

Write and approve detailed design requirements (user cases, software requirements);

Develop unit tests and automated system tests;

Review and approve pull requests;

Translate user needs and desired product functionalities into technical solutions;

Find innovative technical solutions to meet needs/requirements while ensuring that the design is robust, safe and efficient;

Provide risk analysis information and ensure that design mitigation measures are integrated;

Validate colleagues' calculations, simulations and analysis of test results;

Find, select and integrate solutions to correct design-related problems;

Elaborate, revise and approve documentation related to research and development projects, including risk analyses;

Support projects to resolve technical impasses;

Act as technical reference in software development for department members;

Participate in product certification processes;

Identify and participate in continuous improvement projects;

Maintain liaison with other departments (engineering, purchasing, production, QA) for the introduction of new products.
Requirements:
- University degree in software engineering or computer science combined with 10+ years' experience in product development;
- Fluency in French and English (5/5), you will frequently be required to communicate with other R&D sites to share best practices related to your projects.
- Leadership, rigor, creativity and autonomy;
- Mastery of several specific engineering skills (software architectures, expertise in embedded programming, mastery of communication protocols (e.g. CAN, Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC) and integration tools)
- Ability to contribute to several projects at the same time;
- Financial acumen, holistic understanding of the business and strategic skills;
- Ability to train and support team members.
