The impact you will have
As a Design Assurance Engineer you’ll join a global, cross-functional team dedicated to developing and maintaining medical devices and solutions that improve the lives of patients with mobility challenges. In this role, you’ll ensure that every product meets the required standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance, while supporting innovation and safeguarding patient well-being.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
- Support design control and risk management activities throughout the product development lifecycle in accordance with ISO 14971.
- Support requirement development and management, as well as establish traceability between product requirements, risks, and verification activities.
- Ensure that design changes and requirement updates are properly controlled and assessed for compliance and quality.
- Assist in internal and external audits and design reviews.
- Collaborate in a global environment with teams such as mechanical and software engineering, project management, and quality/regulatory functions.
The skills you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Understanding of design control principles and medical device regulations (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical device or other regulated industry
- Ability to balance a holistic perspective with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in a regulated environment
The role may involve occasional international travel.
