Position: Bilingual Legal Affairs & Compliance Specialist
Location: Mississauga, ON
Compensation: On-Target Earnings (OTE): $80,000 to $100,000 per year (base salary + variable components).

The impact you will have
As a Bilingual Business Projects & Compliance Specialist , you will play a critical role within the Business Projects & Compliance team, responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of all business processes.
As the Bilingual Business Projects & Compliance Specialist you will be responsible for:
- Legal review, redline, drafting of contracts for new and existing customers, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, statement of work, Distribution agreements and such other contracts and/or documents as may be deemed necessary for the business. Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and provincial regulations.
- Proofread, edit, and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency, according to a style guide provided by the manager. Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner.
- Act as back-up for monitoring tender websites to identify Requests for Proposals (RFP/RFQ/RFI) and work with sales, marketing and project management to ensure timely submission of completed proposals.
- Check for amendments and addendums for all relative tenders and forward accordingly.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory changes.
- Ensure consistent application of compliance standards across departments.
The skills you will need
- Post-secondary education required and a minimum of 5+ years related experience
- 5+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably working directly with contract law/tenders(RFP/RFQ/RFI), legal and compliance frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Demonstrated ability to ensure adherence to company policies, procurement rules, and applicable laws while mitigating compliance risks
