Job Title: Technician Assistant
Location: Mount Wellington, Auckland
Salary Range: 31.25 - 40.87 NZD per hour
Type of Employment: Full Time - Permanent
Hours of Work: 40 per week
What is the Opportunity?
Our products “Empower Movement” and you will find satisfaction in knowing the work you do makes a positive difference to Peoples’ lives. You will report directly to the National Aftermarket Manager but working with our locally based Mount Wellington Service Technicians. The role will suit a person aspiring to work as a Technician Assistant within the medical device and equipment industry.
Your Role will involve:
- Performing breakdown repairs on customer-owned and company-owned equipment, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 3551 standards. Complete all required documentation and achieve a high first-time fix rate.
- Conducting regular maintenance on equipment, identify and replace worn or faulty parts, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Carrying out quality assurance, installations, testing, and commissioning of equipment in accordance with relevant standards and company procedures.
- Demonstrating a “can do” attitude and initiative to be able to work both autonomously and with a team to productively complete the work;
- Being a valuable team member and working alongside our team to promote and support our various business functions
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- A relevant diploma or higher qualification is essential;
- 1+ year’s work experience as a Service Technician of electromechanical equipment is essential.
- EWRB occupational registration (either full or provisional) is essential
- A strong desire to achieve a high level of professional customer service
- Ability to read, understand and install equipment in accordance to instructions;
- A full Driver’s License and good personal presentation;
- Good communication skills and be able to work both autonomously and in a team.
