Role Purpose

The Deputy Manager – Finance is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with statutory and group requirements. This role supports business decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial analysis while ensuring smooth accounting operations and ERP-based reporting.

Role Overview

The role involves monthly book closure, preparation of financial reports, and consolidation reporting through tools like Cognos. It includes supporting budgeting and forecasting, managing fixed assets and rental fleet accounting, and coordinating audits and compliance activities. The incumbent will also handle MIS reporting, ERP master data management, insurance coordination, and assist in multi-entity consolidation across regions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly Reporting

  • Close monthly books of accounts and prepare financial reports.
  • Upload data into global consolidation tools like Cognos.

Budgeting & Simulation

  • Assist in revenue and capex budgeting with Sales and Finance teams.
  • Prepare monthly simulation files and report in Cognos.

Statutory & Internal Audit Support

  • Coordinate with auditors and consultants.
  • Provide required data and assist in financial statement preparation.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls.

Fixed Asset Management

  • Record purchases, disposals, and transfers in ERP.
  • Maintain asset registers and run depreciation analysis.
  • Track rental fleet and inter-branch transfers.

MIS Reporting

  • Prepare and present MIS reports for internal stakeholders.

Consolidation of South Asia & Middle East Accounts

  • Lead financial consolidation across regions, ensuring compliance with group standards.

Presentations

  • Create and deliver financial presentations for management and stakeholders.

ERP Master Data Management

  • Activate and maintain customer and supplier master data in ERP.
  • ERP maintenance (Monitoring & testing) and enhancement

 

Insurance

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day insurance operations including policy renewals, claims coordination, documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Annual Bonus Computing

  • Manage annual bonus calculations in coordination with HR and management

Other Activities

  • Support any additional tasks assigned by the Financial Controller or management.

 

Other Skills-

  • Proficient in ERP systems
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills
  • Strong communication skills and adherence to timelines

 

Qualifications - B. Com/M. Com/Inter CA with at least 70% marks in SSC, HSC & Graduation. Any higher qualification will be an added advantage

 

Experience- 7-10 years of relevant experience.
