Position: Deputy Manager Quality – South Asia & Middle East
Location: Mumbai, India

Working in collaboration with the Deputy Manager Regulatory Affairs South Asia& Middle East (SAME) and Director Quality, Regulatory, Compliance and Projects, local Sales and service Teams and Distributers this role will:
Quality Assurance
-
Design implementation, maintenance, and certification of Quality Management policies and procedures to meet the requirements of ISO AS/NZS 9001, 13485 and/or as Directed by Arjo management.

Monitor publication of Global Management system SOP and associated documents and ensure are embedded in local systems.

Integrate requirements of Arjo Sales and Service Contract into the QMS and ensure on going compliance.

Ensure Management and staff are trained and fully understand their role in the quality Management systems.

Ensure training records for all staff effected by the quality system are kept and maintained.

Efficiently manage non-conformances within the business.

Compile and present monthly QRC Report to the Director Quality, Regulatory Compliance and Projects.

Compile and present Management Review Reports to Sales and Service Unit Management as specified in the quality system.

Identify, monitor and report metrics in review reports.

Maintenance of document and data control.

Conduct supplier quality audits as required

Conduct Distributor audits as required
Complaints Handling
-
Ensure warranties, unplanned service, product incidents, Business Complaints, Non-conformances and CAPA are reported as instructed or required by Local or Global SOP

Ensure that Complaints handling KPI’s are met and monitored
General
-
Assist and provide backup to the Deputy Manager Regulatory Affairs when required in the areas of regulatory compliance and post market activities.

Discuss emerging or potential compliance issues with management or employees.

Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.

Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.

Monitor projects to maximize the probability for project objectives, success criteria, quality, and time frames to be achieved.

Manage project risk and apply appropriate actions to reduce risk.

Maintain strong business relationships with existing customers by ensuring compliance with all contract requirements, obtaining feedback, and maintaining quality work.
The skills you will need
-
An in-depth knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO 13485 as they pertain to the Medical Device Industry as well as an understanding of Health and Safety Regulations and risk management.

Auditor Qualifications in ISO13485
-
Ability to apply current risk management standards, principles and frameworks.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work with minimum supervision to agreed timescales and to prioritise workload to maximize results.

Good working knowledge of Office Suite including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to interact effectively with Local, regional and global colleagues.

Have demonstrated ability to work in a team and achieve results by working with others

Experience in developing and conducting training
-
Experience in complaint handling practices.

Knowledge of legislations and the ability to acquire knowledge of the relevant codes and practices

Knowledge of regulatory affairs legislations within South Asia and Middle-East
