Position: Regional Rental Engineer

Location: Field based North West Region
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: You will be required to work Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30

Wage: £25,000


The impact you will have
As a Field Representative, you will support Arjo’s customers by delivering and picking up rented products when patients and care givers need it most. You will exceed customer demands by reliably delivering and servicing products as efficiently as possible, ensuring patients and residents have access to necessary solutions that empower movement, thereby improving their quality of life.  

Operating as part of a national resource delivering a high level of technical and engineering support to all products in the Arjo portfolio to the highest possible standard at all times.

 

Our products address the clinical needs for long term care residents and patients with chronic health conditions and includes positioning solutions, mattress systems, medical beds, hygiene systems and compression therapies that are safe, easy to use and have a proven ability to address preventable injuries, such as pressure ulcers. This role will mainly focus on our Vascular Therapy (VTE) devices. 

 

This is an interesting and varied role where you will have interaction with our customers and patients so you must have excellent communication and customer service skills to enable you to provide the exemplary level of service we strive to offer. Your personality, enthusiasm, energy and positivity are essential for us to build long-term relationships with our customers and ultimately play a key role in providing the essential equipment required by our patients.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completion of PPM servicing and repairs on medical devices as instructed by Line Manager, including LOLER and thorough examinations where appropriate.
  • Ensure service schedules are complete, issues reported to Line Manager and that local customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure accurate and clear records are kept and provided to Line Manager.
  • Ensure van spare parts inventory is accurate and stock checked in line with department requirements.
  • Complete warranty repairs and upgrades.
  • Deliver, install, collect and provide ‘in service instruction’ on all systems ensuring that equipment is fully functional and that users are aware of operating and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure that the allocated vehicle is cleaned to Arjo’s Infection Control Procedures and that company policy on the general upkeep of the vehicle is carried out.


The skills you will need 

  • A methodical, logical and practical approach.
  • Ability to prioritize work and amend route plans accordingly.
  • A positive and team oriented approach, whilst being able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance: Required (at the cost of Arjo).
  • Thorough understanding of Health and Safety principals.
  • Engineering / Electrical experience preferred but not essential  
  • Ability to prioritise work in the light of changing circumstances and amend route plans accordingly
  • You will be required to drive a medium sized van and hold a clean driving license (held for a minimum of one year) and be able to route plan effectively. This van will be taken home each night so you must have space to aprk the van outside of your home address.
