The Warehouse Assistant Store Clerk will be responsible for general warehousing functions, loading, off-loading of containers, stacking and stock counting, housekeeping, picking & packing, receiving & despatching of stock on the system, as well as clerical support to the Operations Department. 

 

As the Warehouse Assistant Store Clerk you will be responsible for:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Receiving and Dispatching: Receive products physically and record them in the ERP system.

            Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct labeling and documentation for local courier and export shipments

 

  • Inventory Management:  Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and manage non stock items

 

  • System and Data Management: Be able to use an ERP system to manage inventory data, track stock levels, and maintain records and reports using Excel

 

  • Physical Stock Management: Move and organize stock within the store, load and unload shipments using a forklift, or physically

 

  • Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and ensuring picking accuracy by double-checking items before dispatch

 

  • Forklift Operation: Operate forklift safely and efficiency to move, locate, relocate, stack, load and count inventory in the warehouse.

 

 

Knowledge and Experience:

 

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Valid drivers’ license and  Forklift License ,if expired proof of expired forklift license

 

Requirements

  • Experienced with Lot numbers and Serial Numbers
  • Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing +/- 40kg
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to communicate effectively via email and Microsoft Teams to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Availability to work outside working hours (i.e.: Overtime, weekends, public holidays)
  • Residing close to office in Rosslyn
