The Stores Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control of stock within the warehouse. Operating in the company's highest SKU volume environment, this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong Sage X3 ERP proficiency, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced operational setting. The incumbent plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment in accordance with company procedures and service standards. 

 

This position is based in Rosslyn, Pretoria, and preference will be given to candidates residing within close proximity to the workplace.

As the Stores Clerk you will be responsible for: 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Receive, inspect and accurately process stock transactions on the ERP system. 

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock counts, and variance investigations. 

  • Generate and analyse inventory and operational reports using Sage X3 and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Pick, pack and prepare customer and export orders accurately. 

  • Manage inventory with lot number and serial number control. 

  • Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. 

  • Follow company processes and procedures consistently. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience 

 

  • Grade 12 / Matric and Supply Chain Qualification. 

  • Minimum 3-5 years warehouse or stores experience. 

  • Proven experience working daily on an ERP system (Sage X3 advantageous). 

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. 

  • Experience with inventory control, stock counts, lot numbers, and serial number management. 

  • Valid driver's licence. 

  • Forklift licence advantageous. 

 

 

 

Personal Qualities 

 

  • Strong computer literacy and reporting capability. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. 

  • Physically fit and capable of regular walking, lifting, and moving stock. 

  • Willingness to work overtime when required, particularly during stocktakes and operational peaks. 

  • A proactive team player who takes ownership of stock accuracy and continuous improvement.
