The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair on Arjo medical equipment in the Scranton/Philadelphia area. This role requires an understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and experience with the tools and processes required to complete the work.   

You will spend most of your time working on Arjo medical equipment in our Pittston service center….with 30-50% of your time traveling to Arjo’s hospital customers in the Scranton/Philadelphia area.

An Arjo vehicle will be provided and all travel paid by the company.  Expected overnight travel is approximately 30%.  

Day-to-day functions include the following:

  • Preventative maintenance, repair services, installations, upgrades at an Arjo Service Center or onsite at a customer location (hospital).
  • Assess, provide cost estimates, and complete repairs for customer-owned medical equipment.
  • Assist the sales team in marketing company equipment (joint calls, in-services, sales leads, demo and trade show set-up, etc.)
  • Comply with all health and safety codes and procedures as mandated by company policy, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure reports are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines
  • Manage local and van spare parts inventory

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline (or) suitable repair and maintenance experience with electrical equipment and/or a minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in a technical, repair or maintenance related field
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly, repair or maintenance training and/or certifications preferred
  • Experience in selling or sales techniques (i.e. selling contracts or services) preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed on short notice.  Approximately 30% overnight travel.
  • Ability to move medical equipment, including ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull heavy objects using up to 70 pounds of force
