Purpose

The Electrononics Engineer is responsible for research, design, development, and maintenance of Medical Devices and accessories throughout the product life cycle.

Development

Define, develop, implement and verify electronics sub-system requirements
Identify and apply relevant Design-For-X development 
Perform and document product risk analysis and specify risk control measures on electronic and electric system and subsystem level
Construct and evaluate proof-of-concept and prototype builds
Design electrical and electronic subsystems and select components 
Develop, test and document deliverables using electronics CAD system and test benches according to the Arjo development process and quality system 

Transfer

Ensure an efficient and high-quality production implementation and hyper care

New

Participate in research and creation of new products according to assigned tasks.

Improve

Identify, evaluate and develop improvements and changes to the electronics systems of existing products for increased performance, cost, quality and value.

Maintain

Secure production and product continuity by solving production challenges and performing obsolesence and life cycle updates
Perform technical analysis of change requests, trouble reports, CAPAs and claims as assigned.
Design product improvements and handle obsolesence activities in the electronics systems as assigned
Take responsibility for development, documentation and quality of electronic and electric functions.  
Plan and work independently on end-to-end realization of specified engineering activities.

QMS and documentation

Adhere to the Arjo Quality Management System process and documentation requirements. Review and apporved according RACI for  assigned role

Quality and Compliance

Create, plan, execute and document test to verify quality and compliance of the design, according to assigned task
Design, implement, validate and maintain test tools and equipment 
Define requirements based on standards and input, and ensure completeness, correctness and traceability, according to assigned task
Participate in certification activities with external certifications partners, and maintain good work relations
Perform technical and design control reviews according to assigned role
Prepare for and participate in regulatory audits as required
Take the role of Subject Matter Expert in reviews and audits

Culture and Values

Participate and evolve collaboration and team development locally and across the organization

Communication

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including customers and suppliers

Assist and support SSUs with product questions throughout the product lifecycle.

Other tasks assigned

Perform additional duties as and when required to support the overall objective of the role and the organization

Knowledge, skills and experience

Minimum Bachelor degree in electronics or electrical engineering, technology, or sufficient experience in a relevant field
Skilled in modern electronics product development and engineering best practice and applicable tools
Ability to approach tasks and problems with a structured and outcome-oriented mindset

Good English skills in written and verbal communication
Ability to find benefits and synergies within interdisciplinary and cross-cultural team collaborations
Ability to travel internationally
Ability to fulfill local legal requirements applicable to the role.

Be professional at electronic design and development and maintain
Be familiar with PCBA/schematic/layout development tools such as Altium Designer, PADS, allegro, etc.
Experience with embedded software development (C51, ARM, etc..) is a plus
