ePosition: Procurement Project Buyer

As Procurement Project Buyer you will be responsible for:

  • Be part of the extended team of the New Product Development (NPD) project, working hand‑in‑hand with the Procurement Lead to ensure that procurement deliverables and commercial milestones are met.
  • Represent the assigned category within NPD projects, ensuring consistency with category strategies and supplier roadmaps.
  • Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) activities, including preparing RFQ packages, coordinating with suppliers, and managing timelines.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, evaluate cost structures, and submit well‑supported recommendations for supplier selection.
  • Ensure compliance with category strategies, sourcing standards, and preferred supplier lists.
  • Drive all commercial activities related to the sourcing process—including pricing validation, commercial risk assessment, and preparation of contractual inputs—throughout the development cycle, ensuring close collaboration with the Category Manager or designated commercial owner for all contract‑related decisions.
  • Contribute to the Financial Requirement Calculation (FRC) process by providing accurate cost inputs and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate purchase orders for samples, PE-build, and PPQ build activities to ensure timely availability of materials for project milestones. 

 

Skills you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, supply chain, or any related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a buyer; experience in strategic sourcing is an asset;
  • Negotiation experience;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Very good English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Available to travel and hold a valid passport;
  • Experience in an international and multi-site environment is an asset;
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technical skills for plastic&textile&foam is an asset.
