What is the Opportunity?
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an HR and GA Officer(Contracted employee) to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will support daily HR operations and drive initiatives in recruitment, learning and capability development, HR client services, and various projects.
Additionally, the role covers general affairs responsibilities such as office administration, procurement of supplies, building-related issue resolution, and management of company vehicles and telecommunication devices, ensuring smooth operations for both employees and the organization.
We are looking for a person to:
- Provide HR client services, including advising staff and managers on policy interpretation and application.
- Support recruitment activities such as preparing offer letters, arranging assessments, conducting reference checks, and coordinating onboarding processes.
- Assist with payroll processing in collaboration with Finance and external payroll providers.
- Maintain HR information systems and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate annual HR processes such as performance reviews, salary reviews, and bonus schemes.
- Manage office administration, procurement, and vendor coordination.
- Support workplace health and safety programs and assist in implementing OHSMS compliance.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and confidential assignments as required.
The skills you will need:
- Solid HR knowledge in best practice HR and ability to contribute creatively to team success.
- 2–3 years of HR experience in HR Generalist roles (experience in medical devices or similar industry is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors).
- Strong organizational skills and client service orientation.
