What is the Opportunity?

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Product Manager (West Japan) to join our team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for product demonstrations, distributor training, and co-visits with distributor sales representatives to drive distributor success. You will support the Japanese commercial teams in all aspects of product support, including promotion, technical development, product training, and market insights. Additionally, you will collaborate with Global Product Management to ensure local inputs drive global development projects and strategy.

 

We are looking for a person to: 

  • Create, develop, and manage the distributor engagement strategy within relevant product categories to increase market share and contribute to the overall financial ambition of the business.
  • Perform all marketing activities in accordance with the strategic marketing plan and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver profitable growth by consistently increasing sales volumes, revenues, margins, and net profitability for the products and services.
  • Contribute to the identification, development, and promotion of competitive advantages supporting the tactical management of wider product and service solutions.
  • Achieve annual team and individual numerical targets.
  • Support commercial teams with customer-facing activities, including training (internal and external).
  • Analyse market insights to help develop go-to-market plans for distributors.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed tactical plans supporting segment strategic marketing plans and overall commercial success.
  • Create product planning documents such as business cases, launch plans, and product development plans.
  • Collaborate closely with global and local stakeholders in the development, quality review, and release of products.

 

The skills you will need:

  • Detailed in-market customer and competitor insights.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, with experience in customer discovery to build strong experiences and positioning.
  • Ability to ensure key distributors’ sales staff are well-trained and confident in selling Arjo’s products.
  • Passion for Arjo’s product portfolio and the capacity to quickly absorb information.
  • Strong support for commercial and marketing teams with high-level and frequent customer engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in relevant marketing management, segment management, product management, sales, or clinical management roles within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to handle light physical manipulation and maintain safety standards.
  • Willingness to travel, with travel anticipated to average 20% annually.
