The Long-Term Care & Home Care Specialist (Sales Consultant) is responsible for driving commercial growth of the Long-Term Care and Home Care product portfolio by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, expanding market presence, providing clinical product support, and achieving sales targets within the assigned regions: Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, and Western Cape. 

 

The ideal candidate combines a healthcare background with commercial acumen. They are confident engaging with healthcare professionals, passionate about improving patient outcomes, comfortable working independently, and motivated by achieving sales growth while delivering excellent customer service. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Sales & Business Development 

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. 

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and partnerships. 

  • Expand the Long-Term Care and Home Care footprint within the territory. 

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets. 

  • Analyse customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. 

  • Provide solutions that help manage risks associated with immobility. 

 

Customer Support & Education

 

  • Conduct product demonstrations and in-service training. 

  • Support customers with implementation and best-practice product usage. 

  • Build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and care providers. 

 

Territory Management & Administration 

 

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and territory analysis reports. 

  • Forecast sales and monitor business performance. 

  • Communicate weekly plans and daily activities. 

  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned region to service customers. 

 

Qualifications: A diploma or degree in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or education-related field would be highly advantageous, including: 

 

  • Nursing 

  • Occupational Therapy 

  • Physiotherapy 

  • Biokinetics 

 

Skills & Experience 

 

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. 

  • Sales-driven with the ability to identify growth opportunities. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively. 

  • Strong presentation and training skills. 

  • Excellent planning, administration, and communication skills. 

  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. 

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Northern, Eastern, and Western Cape regions.
